My Shared Death Experience – FoxCT Interview!
I was recently interviewed on FoxCT where I spoke about my “shared death” experience. This is a new concept – which most people have not heard about. Basically it’s when someone gets a glimpse of where a loved one is going as they take their last breath. This experience changed my life, as I was raised believing that people go to hell if they are not baptized or if they were not a good person. But this helped me realize that people do go on after they die.
According to societal norms, we are supposed to feel a certain way when somebody dies, but I want to let you know that you don’t have to feel that way. The person is still with you – they are in your heart forever! Understanding this will help you overcome the death and move forward after the grieving process. I had a shared death experience minutes before my husband passed away where I was taken to heaven and saw this amazing and pure place that was nothing like we have here on earth. This experience dispelled many of the beliefs I grew up with, and proved to me that there is beautiful, loving afterlife for everyone, regardless of what types of religious rituals take place here on earth. Bottom line, your loved one is not only okay, but ecstatic to be where they are (which is what my husband whispered to me, hours after his death) and wants you to fully embrace life and move forward while you still have the opportunity to do so while you are still here on earth.
So if you’ve lost a loved one and feel stuck, get out of your rut and do what you love. Don’t hit the “Snooze” button on your life!
p.s. This is true if you feel stuck and aren’t grieving for someone – go have fun and get inspired to live your best life. You never know when you’ll be taking your last breath…
